Our client is a growing real estate and custom homebuilding organization operating within the residential construction and design industry. They focus on crafting high-quality, accessible homes that bring families’ visions of homeownership to life through thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and a strong emphasis on customer experience.

Role Overview

The Copywriter & Content Creator will serve as the brand’s storyteller within the residential real estate and homebuilding industry. This role is responsible for crafting content that makes homebuilding accessible, educational, and emotionally resonant for families. You will transform technical construction details, floor plans, and process explanations into relatable narratives across blogs, web copy, email, and social channels. This is a highly creative role that blends storytelling, SEO, and consumer education. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative yet independent environment, excels at simplifying complex information, and brings warmth and clarity to every piece of content.

Your Impact

You will shape how families understand and engage with the homebuilding process by producing clear, compelling storytelling across digital platforms. Your work will support organic growth through strong SEO foundations, increase content engagement, and strengthen the brand’s emotional connection with its audience. You will also help streamline the buyer journey by producing educational content that improves clarity, reduces confusion, and ultimately supports stronger lead conversion and customer satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

Brand Voice & Copywriting

  • Write and edit polished, high-quality copy for websites, blogs, email newsletters, and social media.
  • Maintain a consistent, inclusive, and warm brand tone across all digital touchpoints.
  • Tailor messaging for diverse audiences navigating the homebuilding process.
  • Ensure clarity, empathy, and emotional resonance across all content formats.

Educational & Technical Content

  • Translate construction processes and technical terminology into clear, digestible guides and FAQs.
  • Create educational content that empowers buyers to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accuracy and clarity across technical materials.
  • Support long-form content that demystifies homebuilding terminology and steps.

Content Strategy & Engagement

  • Partner with marketing and social media teams on creative campaigns that drive engagement and lead generation.
  • Develop concepts that resonate with families across various demographic groups.
  • Support multimedia content through scriptwriting and campaign-aligned storytelling.
  • Brainstorm ideas that strengthen brand visibility and community engagement.

Content Calendar & Planning

  • Manage and maintain a content calendar aligned with product launches, events, and industry trends.
  • Ensure timely delivery of assets for digital channels.
  • Coordinate content needs with cross-functional teams.
  • Track content timelines and prioritize tasks efficiently.

SEO & Optimization

  • Implement SEO best practices across all content formats.
  • Conduct keyword research and optimize copy to support organic ranking goals.
  • Monitor content performance analytics and iterate based on insights.
  • Apply on-page optimization strategies to improve visibility and traffic.

Storytelling & Case Studies

  • Conduct interviews with homeowners and clients for narrative-driven testimonials.
  • Write case studies that highlight key milestones of custom homebuilding journeys.
  • Humanize buyer experiences through storytelling that builds trust.

Sales Enablement Content

  • Produce brochures, one-pagers, and email templates for the sales team.
  • Ensure content clearly communicates value propositions and product offerings.
  • Support the sales funnel with audience-appropriate messaging.

Must-Haves (Required)

  • 3–5 years of experience in copywriting or content creation.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in written English with exceptional grammar and tone control.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research and content optimization.
  • A portfolio showcasing versatility across formats and audiences.
  • Ability to adapt tone from educational and professional to warm, human, and emotive.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to collaborate asynchronously across remote teams.

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)

  • Experience in real estate, construction, interior design, lifestyle, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress or HubSpot.
  • Basic design skills (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Understanding of Fair Housing Act guidelines and inclusive marketing practices.
