Role Overview
We are looking for a Client Account Lead to join our Client Services / Go-to-Market team. In this role, you will own a large-scale strategic account in the Retail, CPG, and/or Hospitality space, driving growth and profitability, building executive relationships, and helping the client define and realize their AI & Data goals. You will collaborate closely with client executives, Sales, Technical Account Leads, and Delivery leaders to deliver high-impact programs and advance phData’s delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery
- Own and drive account strategy, delivery, and growth for a large, strategic account, executing long-term growth plans aligned to client goals and phData’s capabilities.
- Serve as the senior account leader, accountable for client satisfaction, revenue growth, delivery quality, and executive relationship management.
- Translate client business objectives into strategic programs spanning data platforms, pipelines, governance, analytics, and AI in partnership with engineering and ML teams.
- Help clients address critical priorities such as customer intelligence, demand forecasting, personalization, loyalty analytics, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure engagements are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business value.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Go-to-Market, Delivery, Finance, and Partner teams to align on account health and future opportunity.
- Provide strategic leadership during executive meetings, QBRs, and roadmap discussions, positioning phData as a trusted advisor to both business and technology stakeholders.
- Partner with ecosystem providers such as Snowflake, AWS, and Anthropic to bring added value to the client.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of learning, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Practice & Firm Contribution
- Contribute to internal playbooks, account planning frameworks, and repeatable patterns for driving AI & Data outcomes in Retail, CPG, and Hospitality.
- Share best practices and client insights to improve phData’s engagement model and delivery excellence.
About You
You are a client-focused, strategic account leader and trusted advisor who thrives in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven environment. You are a strong communicator and relationship builder, comfortable operating in distributed teams and navigating complex, senior-level client relationships to drive high-impact work.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 10+ years in consulting, professional services, or client-facing roles with direct accountability for strategic account growth and executive engagement.
- Proven experience leading and growing relationships within Retail, CPG, and/or Hospitality accounts at the enterprise level.
- Domain expertise in Retail, CPG, and/or Hospitality, with the ability to connect client pain points to AI & Data solutions.
- Experience collaborating with data engineering, analytics, and ML teams to oversee delivery of modern data platforms, pipelines, and AI solutions.
- Strong executive communication and presence, with experience leading QBRs, workshops, and strategic roadmap discussions.
- Ability to structure complex problems and drive them to resolution in a matrixed environment.
- Proven track record of building CxO-level relationships and influencing strategic decisions across business and technology stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% based on client needs.
Location & Time Zone Expectations
This role is based in the Atlanta, Georgia, metro area and operates primarily in the Eastern Time Zone.
- Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the greater Atlanta metro region.
- We are a remote-first company; some flexibility may be required to collaborate across time zones.
- Travel of up to approximately 50% may be required to support client milestones and in-person meetings.
