Job Title: Network Implementation Engineer
Overview:
Pico is currently seeking Design and Implementation engineering candidates to deliver best in class engineering candidates to deliver lowlatency connectivity solutions forPico’sclientsandinternalinfrastructureprojectsinline with Pico’s standards and strategic framework. Playing a key role in working with other teams within the business, the Network Implementation Engineer will be a proactive, solutions-oriented engineer with highly developed organization and attention to detail skills. This individual will be responsible for working with our Service Operations (NOC) Team to ensure that all escalationsaredealt with ina timelyand effective manner, transferring knowledgeandbuilding skills among Service Operations Team.
Responsibilities and duties (include but not limited to)
- Design,deploy,andescalateproblemresolution,foralargeserviceprovidernetwork infrastructure
- Performdailycheckoutsoftheenvironmentandfollowinganychanges
- Constructvalidconfigurationsforimplementationbasedupondesignand/ortechnical concepts
- SupportdeploymentandmaintenanceofFirewalls, networkswitches,routers,andother network appliances
- Applicationofconfigurationchangesviaourchangecontrolsystemsandprocesses Perform peer review of configurations scheduled for deployment
- Performnetworkinfrastructurechangesinadiligentandprofessionalmanner Participate in on-call rotation for support escalations
- Troubleshoot internal and external customer issues related to changes Participateindailymeetingstoreviewchangesandunderlyingimpacts
- Workwithnetworkengineeringteamtodesignnewclientspecificconnectivitysolutions Provide mentoring and guidance to other team members when required
Education, Skills and background (incl. Education and Experience Requirements)
- 7-10years’experiencedeployingandsupportingFirewall and Networkequipmentinaservice provider environment or a large-scale Enterprise network
- ExperiencewithFortinetandCisco ASAhardwareandsoftware
- Strong knowledge of IPSec VPN, NAT and managing firewall policy
- Highlyproficientinroutingprotocols:BGP
- Knowledge of TCP, UDP and upper layer protocols
- Experiencewithcross-connectivitytohigh-speed,ultra-lowlatencyfinancialmarketsand venues
- FamiliaritywithAnsible,Linux,Python
- Abilitytoanalyzeanddiagnoseproblemsandeffectivelyleadtosystemrecovery Clear verbal and written communicator
- Diligentandhighlydetailorientated
- Self-motivatedandcapableofprioritizingandmanagingownworkload Capable of working with little supervision
- Creativethinkerwithoutoftheboxideas

Working Arrangements
This is a Hybrid position with weekly time in the office with the flexibility of working from home. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent. The role holder will be expected to work whatever hours are necessary for the performance of this role (recognizing that it involves multiple jurisdictions/geographies including but not limited to EMEA, USA and APAC).
The working days for this position is Tuesday – Saturdayworking in EMEA time zone (16:30 – 01:30am IST)
