Corporate Controller
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote, Singapore (Must have valid work authorization to work in Singapore)
Pixalate is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead our accounting operations and financial reporting for the APAC region. As a key member of the finance team, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial controls, ensuring compliance with Singapore accounting standards and regulations, and driving process improvements to support Pixalate’s growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SaaS or digital advertising, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about scaling financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of regional accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with SFRS/SFRS(I) and US GAAP (for parent company reporting)
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies
- Manage Singapore tax compliance, including GST filings, corporate income tax, withholding tax, and IRAS/ACRA reporting requirements
- Ensure timely submission of Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) and annual tax returns
- Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies (ACRA, IRAS)
- Implement and optimize financial systems and automation tools to improve efficiency
- Partner with FP&A to provide insights into financial performance and business strategy
- Support fundraising, due diligence, and investor reporting efforts
- Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA (Singapore), ACCA, CPA Australia, or equivalent professional accounting qualification required
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS/SFRS(I)) and revenue recognition standards
- Experience with US GAAP reporting is highly preferred
- Deep understanding of Singapore tax regulations, GST, and corporate compliance requirements
- Experience in SaaS, digital advertising, or technology industries preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems)
- Previous experience with a Series A/B stage business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and manage multiple priorities
