SUMMARY:

Placer.ai is looking for a seasoned Sales Director to join our fast-growing sales team! This role will be responsible for driving net new business growth while managing and expanding existing customer relationships. This role is critical in achieving our revenue targets through new customer acquisition, account retention and upsell opportunities. A successful candidate will have a strong network and prior portfolio that they will be able to leverage and transition over.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and pursue new strategic accounts within target markets.
  • Work complex sales cycles that require multiple touch points and meetings with different key stakeholders.
  • Handle 30+ meetings per week while maintaining a clean pipeline.
  • Responsible for direct new client contracts, retention, as well as, customer growth through upsell, expansion, and the identification of new use cases coupled with the introduction of new products and services.
  • Partner closely with your SDR counterpart while leveraging professional networks, knowledge of accounts and developing an action plan to aid in identifying new opportunities and prospecting activities.
  • Professionally demonstrate SaaS products while interfacing with pre/post sales teams.
  • Complete 20+ new demos of Placer’s platform per month.
  • Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate churn and maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly sales goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS or similar college-level education.
  • 8+ years selling in the B2B Software space.
  • Experience working with G-Suite: Gmail, Google Slides, Sheets, etc.
  • Advanced understanding of working with SFDC or relevant CRM.
  • Excellent, clear verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and a selfless approach to teamwork.
  • Knowledge of retail, real estate, financial services, healthcare or CPG verticals is a plus.
  • A proven ‘problem solver’ with the ability to work in a fast-paced, scaling startup organization.
  • Travel is required 10-20% of the time for conferences and onsite customer meetings.

The U.S. annualized pay range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000 USD. In addition, certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales-based commissions. Base pay offered within the stated range may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related skills, professional experience, education and licenses (if applicable), work location and compensation market data.

Base pay is just a part of our total rewards program. Placer provides medical, dental and vision coverage as well as flexible time off, 401K and equity awards for certain roles.
