Job Description
The Project Scheduler manages all aspects of project scheduling for major construction projects ranging between $25M to $50M. This includes developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, closely monitoring progress against the schedule, attending regular progress meetings, and updating schedules accordingly. The Project Scheduler collaborates with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and other project controls personnel and their expertise in scheduling methodologies ensures on-time delivery of major construction programs.
Organizational Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules that align with project milestones and deadlines.
- Lead the integration and maintenance of multiple project schedules across different teams using scheduling software, such as Primavera P6.
- Lead weekly project status meetings with contractors to review progress, discuss challenges, strategize lost time recovery, and resolve constraints affecting project timelines.
- Prepare and distribute weekly progress reports detailing project status, changes or delays, key performance indicators, and upcoming milestones.
- Provide expert analysis on schedule performance, identifying critical paths and potential bottlenecks.
- Engage with stakeholders to communicate schedule impacts and negotiate timeline adjustments.
- Maintain a proactive approach to foresee and address scheduling challenges in a dynamic construction environment.
- Ability to create scenario-based project schedules to assist in risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project control processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall project outcomes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project/ construction management, or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in project controls, project management, or a similar role with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Field experience in Oil & Gas or manufacturing industries preferred.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in project management methodologies, schedule and cost control tools, and software.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation, and development of resource-loaded design and construction schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM) required.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret project data or identify trends for the purpose of making data driven recommendations to improve project performance.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, and problem-solving skills.
$90,000 - $123,000 a year
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $123,843.
A hired employee will be placed within this salary range based on a variety of legitimate business reasons, including but not limited to the individual’s scope of relevant experience and geographic location.
Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
