Position: Primavera Project Scheduler
Term: March 2026 - March 2027 - 1 Year Contract
Pay: $70/Hr - $73/Hr
Location: Tampa, FL - 4 days on site - 1 day WFH - Must already reside in the Tampa region to apply
Work Authorization - ONLY USC and GC
Education: Preferred Bachelor’s Degree
Experience - 3 Years:
- Proficiency with Primavera (P6). Understanding of SAP/ ERP system, Work management systems.
- Knowledge of project scheduling concepts and systems - demonstrated aptitude for specialized scheduling software and proficient with Excel.
- Communication skills necessary to interface with external engineering and construction firms, suppliers, and other organizations within Tampa Electric.
- Demonstrated capability in managing project schedules, budgets/forecasts, and cash flow.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development of Primavera (P6) schedules (25%)
- Provides support in maintaining Primavera (P6) schedules by making schedule updates as provided by internal and external project team members (25%)
- Provides project and portfolio reporting from Primavera (P6) to support and enable project execution with the approved project schedules. Provide regular project schedule updates reflection milestone and project execution status. Provide standard look-ahead reports and analysis to project stakeholders by extracting key data and milestones from Primavera (P6). (25%)
- Coordinates the overall scheduling process and facilitates regularly scheduled project schedule review meetings. (25%)%
- Other duties as assigned by department leadership in support of developing, maintaining and analyzing project schedules
- Manage, revise, and maintain status of the detailed project schedules to include all phases of project execution from engineering, equipment procurement and deliveries, construction contracts through startup activities. 15%
- Monitor and track project execution progress against approved schedules and facilitate discussions on potential corrective measures where there are variances to schedule. 15%
- Review contractor quantity reporting programs for accuracy. 15%
- Participates in review and tracking of change orders/requests for the purpose of modifying schedules, communicating variances to approved schedules and facilitating discussions on potential corrective measures where there is a variance. Track and analyze project costs including budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, and forecasts. Analysis includes forecast to budget, estimate and actuals, and risk analysis. 15%
- Provide detailed analysis of project schedules, coordinate recommendations where there is a schedule variance, and implement strategies to achieve project schedule adherence and project execution goals. 10%
- Coordinate project schedule information from internal departments, consulting engineers, manufacturers, and construction contractors to support overall project reporting needs. Serve as the primary point of contact for all schedule-related information for individual project teams. 10%
