About Prometheum
We were founded in 2017 to build market infrastructure for blockchain-based securities, connecting traditional financial systems with crypto investing. We developed a digital asset securities platform that integrates blockchain and securities trading technology, linking traditional and digital markets. We enable the issuance, trading, and custody of blockchain securities through our SEC-registered broker-dealer network.
Our services include:
- Prometheum ATS: A FINRA member and SEC-registered broker-dealer for secondary market trading of blockchain securities.
- Prometheum Capital: The first SEC-registered special purpose broker-dealer and an SEC “Qualified Custodian” for institutional custody and post-trade services of blockchain securities.
- ProFinancial: Provides capital formation services for blockchain securities, offering issuers access to our system.
Our platform supports various blockchain-based securities, including equities, debt, ETFs, mutual funds, money market funds, and cryptocurrencies classified as securities. Our infrastructure manages these securities throughout their lifecycle under U.S. securities laws. Our technology uses an AWS-based infrastructure with tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, ArgoCD, and Kubernetes (EKS).
