The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Product Owner – Sports to define and drive the strategy for Raketech’s sports-focused products within our affiliation ecosystem. This role combines product leadership, industry expertise, and hands-on product management and marketing with a strong focus on delivering and marketing high-performing sports products that attract, engage, and convert users.
You will work closely with engineering, SEO and commercial teams to develop and optimize products that support our growth in the sports betting space. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of sports betting and affiliation, strong product thinking, and experience working with SEO-driven platforms and other user acquisition strategies.
As Senior Product Owner, you will play a central role in shaping the future of our sports offering, ensuring our products remain competitive and aligned with both user needs and business objectives.
As a Senior Product Owner, you are expected to:
Define and lead the product strategy, roadmap, and marketing strategy for sports-focused products and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performing product solutions.
Collaborate with SEO and content teams, and lead marketing initiatives for the products, leveraging freelancers or external resources as needed to drive traffic growth and conversion.
Lead product initiatives aimed at improving user engagement, acquisition, and monetization across sports platforms.
Lead data-driven decision making for sports products , analyzing performance metrics and user behavior to identify opportunities, guide development, and prioritize marketing and product initiatives.
Lead and manage a cross-functional team, including junior managers, ensuring alignment, motivation, and high performance across all functions.
Continuously track and analyze sports betting industry trends and competitor products, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance and differentiate our offerings.
Translate business opportunities and requirements into clear product specifications, delivery plans, and marketing strategies.
Success in this role means:
Lead a cross-functional team, including junior managers, to deliver on product and marketing initiatives.
Ensure each initiative has clear goals aligned with business objectives and user needs.
Support the team in making data-driven decisions and monitor KPIs, taking corrective action when needed.
Maintain quality standards for all deliverables and keep the product roadmap on track.
Proactively identify market opportunities to keep sports products competitive and differentiated.
Requirements
Native Nordic language proficiency
Strong experience in sports betting affiliation, with deep knowledge of the sports betting ecosystem.
Proven experience in product development and marketing, ideally within sports or betting-related products, with a track record of delivering and optimizing successful products.
Experience working with SEO-driven websites and organic acquisition strategies.
Strong understanding of the affiliation business model and performance-driven marketing.
Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders to drive product and marketing initiatives.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data to drive product decisions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Passion for sports and sports betting products.
