Rapid Micro Biosystems, founded in 2006, is a life sciences technology company, providing automation solutions to improve healthcare product manufacturing. Our headquarters and U.S. manufacturing are in Lowell, Massachusetts, with other global offices in Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands. We have between 51 and 200 employees.

We developed the Growth Direct® System, an automated, growth-based technology platform. This system replaces manual microbiology testing in large pharmaceutical manufacturing operations globally. It automates key applications like environmental monitoring, water testing, bioburden testing, and sterility decisions. The Growth Direct® System helps accelerate the detection of microbial contamination during the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, and personal care products.

The Growth Direct® System delivers faster, more accurate results, improves efficiency, and enhances compliance with data integrity standards. It helps manufacturers make quicker decisions, ensures a reliable supply of vital healthcare products, reduces errors and the risk of costly contamination, accelerates timelines, maximizes capacity, and lowers operational risk and downtime. Our specialties include rapid automated detection and enumeration, rapid environmental monitoring, rapid water and bioburden testing, quality control microbiology, quality control automation, and sterility testing. The technology integrates robotics, AI, and imaging.

We offer a competitive total compensation package, including base pay, an attractive benefits package, cash incentive opportunities, and equity grants. For specific roles, like a Sr. Account Executive, the starting salary range might be $130,000 - $160,000, with the final amount based on skills and experience.
