Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead monetization experiences across Lonely Planet, with ownership of both Shop (ecommerce) and LP Journeys (expert-led travel services). This role is responsible for defining and executing product strategy across two distinct but connected revenue streams, driving growth through experimentation, funnel optimization, and high-impact user experience improvements.
This role requires a strong operator who can balance strategy and execution—owning roadmap development, writing detailed product requirements, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver measurable business outcomes.

What You’ll Do:
Own and execute the product roadmap for Shop and LP Journeys, aligning initiatives to company-level monetization goals
Lead experimentation strategy across key funnels, including checkout, onboarding, and conversion flows
Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve conversion rate, revenue per visitor, and customer lifetime value
Write clear, actionable PRDs and Jira tickets to support efficient execution across engineering and design
Partner with design, engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality product experiences
Use data, user behavior insights, and funnel analytics to inform decisions and measure impact
Drive stakeholder alignment across cross-functional teams, balancing competing priorities and inputs
Champion best practices for authenticated and membership-based user experiences, with a focus on long-term user value
Ensure strong instrumentation and analytics to support ongoing optimization and experimentation
Scope & Ownership:
End-to-end ownership of two core monetization products:
Shop: Ecommerce experience focused on growing conversion and AOV
LP Journeys: High-touch travel planning funnel focused on request → expert engagement → booking
Direct influence over key business metrics including:
Conversion rate (CVR)
Revenue per visitor (RPV)
Request form completion
Expert engagement and booking conversion
Ownership of both strategy (what to build) and execution (how it gets shipped)
What We’re Looking For:
3–7+ years of experience in product management, growth, or digital optimization
Proven experience owning complex product roadmaps and driving measurable business impact
Strong background in experimentation, funnel optimization, and analytics
Experience working on ecommerce, marketplace, or lead-generation products. Experience using Shopify is a plus!
Ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear product requirements and execution plans
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Nice to Have:
Experience with high-consideration purchase funnels (e.g., travel, financial products, marketplaces)
Familiarity with authenticated user experiences and membership ecosystems
Experience working with experimentation tools, analytics platforms, and modern frontend framework
Compensation:
This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
- Total Cash Compensation Range: $120,000 – $150,000 per year
