About the Role:
This is a pivotal hands-on role reporting to the General Counsel. The role will see you providing high-level administrative support, document management, and business-focused tasks. This role is key to ensuring and maintaining efficiency and smooth operations within the legal department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a collaborative team player with ambition and a strong work ethic, looking to expand their knowledge and expertise, working within an in-house legal team.
The role will involve:
- Leading and driving the review and negotiation of terms and conditions, confidentiality agreements, and other miscellaneous commercial agreements, and documents
- Drafting of legal templates, commercial agreements, and legal reports
- Assisting the General Counsel and Legal Counsel in the provision of all administrative legal services as required by the company from time to time
- Monitoring of the legal inbox and providing replies to legal emails and enquiries in a timely manner
- Contract management and administration, and contract filing and document retention
- Performing legal research on various legal topics
- Providing legal training to the business as required
- Carriage of various legal projects on an ad hoc basis
The successful applicant will work closely with and be mentored by the General Counsel.
About you
- Have 1-2 years prior experience gained working as a paralegal either in an in-house role or a law firm You display exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Can work under pressure and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines in a timely manner
- You enjoy working in a small collaborative team environment
- Have strong stakeholder management skills
- Technology savvy, knowledge of, or ability to quickly familiarise oneself with business and legal systems and tools and are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Be a proactive team player with a can-do attitude
