A boutique family law firm with a strong reputation in Southern California, is seeking an Attorney to join their team in Calabasas, CA (with flexibility across nearby offices). This is a hands-on litigation role for an experienced family law attorney who wants meaningful client work, professional growth, and a collaborative environment without micromanagement.
What You’ll Do as the Attorney:
- Manage family law matters from intake through resolution, including hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Handle discovery end to end, including drafting and responding, reviewing production, and preparing motions when needed
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely pleadings and legal documents
- Develop practical case strategies focused on strong outcomes and cost efficiency for clients
- Advise and support clients through emotionally complex situations with empathy and confidence
- Appear in court for hearings and conferences; trial exposure without pressure to be first chair
- Track billable time and manage a steady caseload independently
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in a team-oriented environment
- Mentor junior team members and assist with training as needed
- Stay current on California family law developments and best practices
Must-Haves as the Attorney:
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership in good standing
- 3 to 5 years of family law experience
- Comfort handling evidentiary hearings and contested matters
- Strong written, verbal, and courtroom communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
- High emotional intelligence and professionalism when working with high-conflict matters
- Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Valid California Class C driver’s license and reliable transportation
Nice-to-Haves as the Attorney:
- Experience working with high net worth clients
- Familiarity with Clio, LawYaw, or similar case management tools
- Interest in long-term growth, leadership, or partner-track opportunities
- Business development mindset and ability to originate clients

- Competitive base salary range of $150,000 to $190,000
- Monthly billable expectation of 100 to 120 hours with bonus potential for exceeding targets
