About RefinedScience
We started RefinedScience in 2019 to combine clinical and biological data with expert knowledge. Our goal is to improve the success rate of clinical trials and get actionable results faster, helping drug discovery and development across the biopharma industry.
We’ve built a platform to generate new insights from carefully selected patient data. This includes clinical data from various real-world sources, such as a live feed from a large regional hospital, industry partners, and clinical trials. We also create large single-cell omics datasets for diseases like Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), covering genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics, sourced from constantly updated biobanks.
We use AI, machine learning, and predictive models to analyze this extensive data. We identify, organize, and examine data to find patterns and correlations that lead to new discoveries. Our services include finding and validating new drug targets, designing clinical trials, and developing strategies for drug candidates that have stalled in clinical stages.
For example, we used our AML dataset to find targets like CD70. This led to a joint venture with Argenx called OncoVerity, which then designed a Phase 2 trial for the CD70 drug candidate, cusatuzumab.
