About the Role
Got a passion for creating products people genuinely love to use? Join our Beauty team as a Product Design Engineer (NPD) and help bring the next generation of innovative beauty products to life.
Based in our London Design Office, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering, creativity, and consumer experience transforming ideas into real, market ready products that stand out in homes and routines around the world.
From early concepts and rapid prototyping to testing and production, you’ll play a hands on role throughout the entire development journey. You’ll collaborate with talented global teams across the UK, US, and China in a fast moving environment where curiosity, innovation, and action are valued every day.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in our Battersea office.
What You’ll Do
No two days are quite the same and that’s exactly how we like it. You’ll get stuck into everything from solving tricky engineering challenges to building prototypes and refining products ready for launch.
Here’s what you’ll be getting involved in:
• Turning ambitious product ideas into smart, manufacturable solutions
• Supporting and leading design studies to tackle technical and consumer challenges
• Taking concepts through CAD development, prototyping, testing, and verification
• Iterating designs to improve performance, quality, cost, and user experience
• Applying solid engineering fundamentals to create robust, reliable products
• Using your knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to optimise designs for high volume production
• Building and testing prototypes in the lab because hands on problem solving matters here
• Working closely with cross functional teams around the globe to bring products to market
• Sharing ideas, learning from others, and contributing to a collaborative team culture
What You’ll Bring
You’re naturally curious, love figuring out how things work, and enjoy turning ideas into real world products people use every day.
We’d love to see:
• A degree in Product Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline
• 1–3+ years of experience in a product design, mechanical engineering, or industrial design environment
• Experience in or enthusiasm for beauty tech, consumer products, or household appliances
• Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes is a bonus, not a must
• Confidence taking products from concept through to production
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo
• Strong problem solving skills and a proactive, hands on mindset
• A passion for prototyping, testing, and improving designs
• Great collaboration skills and a positive, adaptable attitude
