Shift4 is expanding globally and we are seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented Lead Business Development Analyst to support the company’s growth initiatives by identifying market opportunities, evaluating strategic partnerships, and enabling data-driven decision making.
This role acts as a key interface across commercial, product, and strategy teams, contributing actionable insights and structured analysis to advance new business initiatives.
Location: Remote-based in Sao Paolo, Brazil area, with occasional onsite visits to Shift4 office in area.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market, industry and competitive research to support strategic planning
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market segments, partnerships and revenue streams.
- Develop, track and report KPIs, dashboards and performance metrics for new initiatives and sales actions.
- Assist the commercial team with lead generation, prospect analysis and partner qualification.
- Gather insights from clients and stakeholders to inform value propositions and product requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Technology, Legal and Operations) to ensure alignment and implementation success.
- Monitor performance of ongoing partnerships and identify opportunities to optimize value and scale.
Qualifications
- 5 - 7+ years of experience as a Business Development Analyst.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related - experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis, business development, strategy, or commercial planning.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and strong presentation development skills (PowerPoint/Google Slides).
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience working with structured data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English in professional business settings.
Preferred Qualifications (Additional experience that is a plus to have)
- Experience in SaaS, technology, payments, e-commerce, or retail environments.
- Knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Familiarity with BI/analytics tools and SQLCore Competencies.
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness.
- Critical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of ownership, initiative and accountability.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
