CUSTOMER

Our client is a rapidly growing technology leader in digital accessibility software. Their AI-enabled products help enterprises make web and mobile offerings accessible to everyone, saving developer time and reducing risk through proprietary discovery and analysis algorithms integrated directly into software development pipelines.

PROJECT

The project focuses on enhancing Android system internals to deliver accessibility features for enterprise-grade applications. It involves advanced Android development, integration of AI-powered accessibility tools, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.

Job Description

  • Conduct in-depth research into Android system internals
  • Develop and deliver high-quality, enterprise-grade features according to product requirements
  • Collaborate closely with support, product management, and other mobile teams
  • Stay up to date on mobile development trends and advancements in accessibility
  • Ensure solutions meet accessibility compliance standards
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of commercial experience in Android development (or Kotlin/Java background combined with Android experience)
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK and platform architecture
  • Understanding of Android application lifecycle and component lifecycle
  • Familiarity with Android APIs and common design patterns
  • Strong understanding of Android UI frameworks: Jetpack Compose, XML layouts, and WebViews
  • Experience with dependency management tools (Gradle, Maven, JFrog)
  • Upper-Intermediate or higher level of spoken and written English

WILL BE A PLUS

  • Experience with accessibility features and standards
  • Experience developing and integrating SDKs
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks (Appium, Espresso)
  • CI/CD experience with platforms like CircleCI or Jenkins
  • Ensure solutions meet accessibility compliance standards
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions
