Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer (Remote | LATAM)
We’re looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to join a US-based product team building and maintaining business-critical internal applications. This is a long-term engagement for someone who’s comfortable operating with ownership, ambiguity, and high delivery standards.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain production Ruby on Rails applications
Own features end-to-end, from requirements to deployment
Collaborate closely with distributed engineering and product teams
Participate in sprint planning, refinement, and continuous delivery
Actively communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs in a remote setup
What we’re looking for
5+ years of professional experience as a backend or full-stack engineer
Strong, hands-on Ruby on Rails experience in production environments (non-negotiable)
Experience working on internal tools or high-impact business systems
Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of assigned work
Comfortable in fast-moving, agile teams with minimal hand-holding
Strong English communication skills
Nice to have
Frontend exposure with React and TypeScript
Experience in data-heavy or operational systems
Prior work with US-based teams and time-zone overlap
Work setup
Fully remote
Full time overlap with US East Coast hours
Long-term contract engagement
