Founded in 2008 by Burck Smith, we provide online courses for college credit and professional development. We offer 215 courses annually, with over 150,000 students seeking college credit or new career skills. Our courses are accepted for credit by over 3,000 colleges and universities and are recommended for ACE CREDIT transfer after a quality review.

Our curriculum includes general education, prerequisites for healthcare, business, math (including Algebra, Calculus, and Statistics), and humanities (such as History, Philosophy, and Sociology). Students can complete courses at their own pace, with many finishing in 28 days or less. Our membership model includes access to digital textbooks, ²⁴⁄₇ virtual tutoring, practice exams, unlimited transcripts, one-on-one support, and transfer advisors.

In addition to individual students, we partner with higher education institutions and corporate clients, including those within the EdAssist by BrightHorizons network, to offer flexible learning options. We also operate subsidiaries in early childhood education, such as the ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI) and ProSolutions Training, providing professional development and certification. To date, over 350,000 students have used our courses, resulting in over $300 million in tuition savings, and our courses have a 98% pass rate.
