StreetLight, a subsidiary of Jacobs, was founded in 2011. We specialize in Big Data analytics for transportation, developing machine-learning algorithms and data processing resources to measure how vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians travel. This helps planners, modelers, and engineers make data-driven transportation decisions.

Our main product is the mobility SaaS platform, StreetLight InSight®, which provides on-demand access to real-world mobility data. We provide transportation data solutions and analytics for government agencies, businesses needing vehicle and foot traffic data, and consultants. Our tools help with tasks like Transportation Planning (e.g., AADT, O-D), Transportation Systems Management & Operations (TSMO) for capacity and traffic management, Climate initiatives for building climate-forward systems, and Business insights for granular traffic data.

Our services include self-serve software, data and APIs (CSV, ArcGIS), and custom support from our data science and transportation experts. We specialize in Location Analytics, AADT, Origin-Destination, Select Link, Top Routes, Trip Purpose, Bike and Pedestrian, Ride Hailing, Before and After Studies, Congestion, Emergency Response Planning, First and Last Mile Studies, Freight, Travel Demand Management, Corridor Studies, Travel Time, Turning Movements, Safety, Circuity, EV Infrastructure Planning, and New Mobility.

Since Jacobs acquired us in February 2022, we’ve continued developing digital tools to help communities reduce congestion, make transportation safer and fairer, and get the most out of infrastructure investments. We’ve supported over 1 million projects and offer 100% coverage of U.S. Traffic Analysis Zones (TAZs), providing ²⁴⁄₇ access to mobility insights. Our data repository includes over 5 million miles of roadway, sidewalk, and bike lanes, and 10 million Census Blocks, enabling more than 10,000 transportation analyses each month.
