ABOUT THE TEAM & ROLE
STX is building the digital and AI-driven foundations that power trading, risk, and decarbonization at a global scale. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll design, automate, and evolve the systems that enable developers, analysts, and citizen builders across our offices in Amsterdam, Stockholm, Singapore, and the US.
This role sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, and developer experience. You’ll work on everything from infrastructure automation and Kubernetes operations to AI - assisted tooling and workflow orchestration - helping STX become an AI-first engineering organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive AI-Driven Development: Promote adoption of AI-assisted workflows and tools to amplify human creativity and automate processes.
- Platform Evolution: Enhance citizen development platforms for safe, scalable automation by trading and front-office teams.
- Cloud Architecture & Operations: Design, maintain, and optimize secure, scalable cloud environments across Azure and AWS.
- CI/CD & Automation: Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines; develop automation tooling to increase operational efficiency.
- Security & Monitoring: Strengthen cloud and infrastructure security; implement monitoring, alerting, and resilience frameworks.
- Troubleshooting & Stakeholder Collaboration: Resolve complex system issues and communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Platform Expertise: 6 - 8+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE; hands-on experience with Azure and AWS.
- Kubernetes & Cloud Skills: Proven experience managing production Kubernetes clusters and hybrid connectivity.
- Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in Python or similar languages for automation, tooling, and infrastructure management.
- Infrastructure-as-Code & CI/CD: Familiarity with Terraform, CDK, or similar tools; experience building robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Engineering Mindset: Proactive, systems-thinking, with strong troubleshooting and operational excellence focus.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communicator, able to work across distributed teams and balance autonomy with transparency.
