TEAM AND ROLE:
The Treasury Manager leads our Operational Treasury activities while helping elevate the function to support the Company’s growth. You’ll work closely with our physical and certificates business, navigate trade commodity finance, and ensure our treasury management system runs smoothly. The role focuses on process optimization, cross-department collaboration, and building a scalable, data-driven treasury framework. Strong analytical skills, data interpretation, and a future-focused mindset are key to success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cash & Liquidity Management: Manage daily cash positions and ensure sufficient group-wide liquidity on a rolling short-term horizon, including optimal allocation of cash and debt, cash flow forecasting, and trapped cash reporting.
- Commodity Trade Finance Execution: Oversee and manage trade finance instruments such as letters of credit, bank guarantees, inventory financing, and transaction-based structures in close coordination with Trading and Operations.
- FX & Interest Rate Risk Management: Maintain a comprehensive group-wide FX exposure overview and execute efficient hedging strategies to minimize cost, slippage, and risk, including interest rate exposures.
- Debt Facilities & Margin Calls: Execute and manage margin calls in coordination with Risk, and support asset-based lending facilities through borrowing base reporting, collateral monitoring, and covenant compliance.
- Reporting, Payments & Treasury Projects: Ensure accurate and efficient payment execution, prepare monthly treasury dashboards, and contribute to strategic initiatives such as system integrations, automation, and process optimization.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics, with a minimum of 5 years’ treasury experience in a trading or commodity environment
- Hands-on experience with Treasury Management Systems (preferably FIS Integrity) and proven knowledge of trade finance instruments.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; strong data handling and reconciliation skills, with PowerBI, VBA or Python as a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Risk, Operations, and Trading teams. Fluent in English, Dutch is a pre.
- Detail-oriented, organized self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design, improve, and scale treasury processes.
