Role Summary
- Previous relevant experience in the console gaming domain is required for this role.
- Support game titles through end-phase submission testing, under the guidance of senior and lead QAs.
- Contribute to development QA activities from early design through release, including functional and platform testing, such as:
-Grey-box, black-box, functional, and platform testing.
-Monitoring project check-ins and collaborating with the development team to identify and track issues.
-Performing daily smoke testing across all target platforms.
-Creating, executing, and maintaining outcome-driven test cases and test scenarios.
-Providing input and feedback to improve test coverage and testing approaches.
-Highlighting quality risks and providing feedback to improve overall game quality and player experience.
- Collaborate and communicate daily and weekly with project teams, including UK-based stakeholders.
- Use and understand basic testing tools, SDKs, and GDKs required for console testing.
- Follow established QA processes while contributing constructively to delivery and quality goals.
Requirement
Experience Required
4+ years of hands-on QA experience, preferably in console game testing.
Experience contributing to at least one full project lifecycle (development → release or live).
Exposure to functional, platform, and black-box testing.
Basic understanding of console submission / certification processes (hands-on or support-level).
Core Responsibilities
Execute functional, regression, and platform testing across target platforms.
Perform daily smoke tests and support release readiness activities.
Create, execute, and maintain clear, outcome-driven test cases.
Log, track, and retest defects using standard QA tools (e.g. JIRA or equivalent).
Work closely with senior and lead QAs to identify risks and support delivery milestones.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UK-based stakeholders.
Skills & Tools
Strong QA fundamentals and attention to detail.
Comfortable working with builds, GDK/SDKs, and basic dev tools.
Experience with defect tracking and test documentation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
