About Sunrise ABA
We started in 2022 to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. We are a home health care company with 201-500 employees.
We offer individualized ABA therapy for children, mainly in their homes, schools, and communities. Services are available in California, Oregon, Washington, and Tennessee, and can be in-center or in-home. Some roles also offer virtual services with required monthly in-person travel. We use evidence-based, data-driven methods, including positive reinforcement and play-based techniques, to help reduce challenging behaviors and build meaningful skills.
Our intake process starts with a consultation and an intake call. We then check insurance benefits, which requires proof of a medical diagnosis and a prescription for ABA therapy. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) conducts an assessment, often using tools like the VB-Mapp, ABLLS-R, and DAY-C. After the assessment and insurance authorization, a BCBA develops a personalized therapy plan.
Mission & Values
We believe every child deserves unique care, so we don’t use a “one size fits all” approach to ABA therapy. Our methods are based on respecting neurodiversity and prioritizing each child’s voice, comfort, and goals through evidence-based practices. We focus on developing self-advocacy skills rather than compliance.
We maintain high ethical standards and use data to track progress and evaluate how well our services work. We are committed to ethical, client-centered ABA therapy, focusing on integrity and client success. We also support our team’s career development, helping employees grow professionally.
Team & Culture
We have 201-500 professionals on our team. Our clinical team includes Behavior Technicians (BTs) or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Mid-level supervisors, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). We also have Directors of Operations and Clinical Directors.
Behavior Technicians usually have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in human services, relevant experience, or are working on an undergraduate degree. They receive ongoing training from BCBAs. BCBAs hold a Master’s Degree, have finished required coursework and supervised fieldwork, and passed their board certification exam. They are responsible for program development, supervision, and support. Mid-level supervisors are working toward their BCBA credentials under BCBA supervision.
We aim for a supportive and collaborative culture where team members can grow their skills and pursue their professional interests. We keep BCBA caseloads manageable to prevent burnout and offer autonomy over caseloads. We emphasize professional development and mentorship.
Benefits & Perks
We offer a full benefits package for full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. We provide a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match.
Employees get paid time off and paid holidays. Sick time varies by state. In your first year, you get 21 paid days off (up to 15 PTO days, 6 holidays). We also offer a $600 CEU reimbursement and in-house CEUs.
We support career development with mentorship from experienced clinicians and competitive pay, including bonus opportunities. We cover short- and long-term disability.
Many roles offer hybrid-remote work, virtual-first models with predictable monthly travel, and flexible scheduling with clinical autonomy. We have both full-time and part-time options and do not use non-compete contracts.
