About Taproot Foundation

We are a nonprofit organization established in 2001. We connect nonprofits and social change organizations with skilled volunteers to provide pro bono services. Our aim is to ensure social change organizations have access to marketing, strategy, HR, IT, and finance resources.

We facilitate pro bono service through team-based, long-term projects, one-time, one-on-one consultations, and events. Since our founding, we have delivered over 1.9 million hours of pro bono service, valued at more than $300 million, to over 19,000 organizations. This work has been supported by a community of more than 175,000 volunteers.

Nonprofits can join for free, describe their needs, and connect with volunteers. Volunteers can sign up, find opportunities from over 500 options updated daily, and donate their skills. We also collaborate with companies and grantmakers to design tailored pro bono programs, connect employee engagement goals with social impact, deliver impact, and multiply grant dollars.

Our specialties include pro bono, marketing, strategy management, HR, IT, nonprofit capacity building, consulting services, leadership development, finance, nonprofit tech, and volunteerism. We operate within the Non-profit Organizations industry.
