We are a nonprofit network of public charter schools, founded in 2005. We provide K-12 education in communities that have historically lacked resources.

Our model focuses on exceptional teaching, using data to guide instruction, offering strong professional development, and building effective curriculum and assessment tools. We aim to create learning experiences that are rigorous, joyful, and inclusive for all students.

Uncommon Schools has 1,001 to 5,000 employees. Our work environment is mission-driven, with instructional leaders shaping and driving our network-wide vision. We require collaboration across regions, and some roles involve partnering with senior leadership, such as the Chief Schools Officer. Our culture promotes instructional leadership, coaching, and developing content expertise through professional development.

We offer employees 19 days of paid time off, plus three weeks of paid Winter and Summer holidays.
