The Kingfish Company

We founded The Kingfish Company in 2015 to specialize in fish farming and food technology within the Food and Beverage Services industry. We develop and operate land-based aquaculture facilities to produce Yellowtail (Hiramasa/Kingfish).

Our first operational site is in the Netherlands, located near the Oosterschelde marine nature reserve. Here, we raise fish without antibiotics or vaccines, using 100% renewable electricity and filtered seawater. This facility includes a full-cycle hatchery, an on-site R&D facility, and an advanced grow-out system.

We deliver fresh and sashimi-grade frozen whole fish, fillets, and portions across Europe and the US within 24-48 hours of harvest. We hold certifications from ASC and BAP, have a BRC certified processing plant, and are recognized as an official “Green Choice” by the Good Fish Foundation. We also received the 2018 Horecava Innovation Award and the 2019 Seafood Global Excellence Award for best HORECA product.

We are currently developing a second site in Jonesport, Maine, to serve the US market. The Kingfish Company is listed on Euronext Oslo under the stock ticker KING.

We offer a salary range of €4,424 - €7,864 per month, hybrid working arrangements, and flexible employment options (80–100% based on preference).
