Position Overview

The Director, AI Solutions is both a hands-on engineering leader and a strategic manager. This role is responsible for guiding the design and end-to-end build of scalable generative AI systems that go beyond prototype custom GPTs. As a senior leader, the Director ensures delivery excellence across multiple AI initiatives, grows client and internal adoption of AI capabilities, and develops high-performing teams. This position requires deep technical expertise in Google Cloud’s AI/ML suite, the ability to write and deploy production code, and the consultative skills to help clients and stakeholders realize business value from AI.

Responsibility: AI Project Delivery & Client Impact

  • Lead the planning, design, and hands-on development of enterprise AI solutions leveraging Google Cloud (Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, Cloud AI APIs, Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of AI solutions: prototyping, coding, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
  • Translate AI strategies and roadmaps into actionable engineering plans and high-quality deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for AI engagements, ensuring technical alignment and business value delivery.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.

Responsibility: Account Growth & Commercial Responsibility

  • Identify and shape new AI/ML opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Support proposal development, scoping, and pricing for AI-focused engagements.
  • Ensure AI delivery excellence to enable client retention and expansion.

Responsibility: Talent Development & Team Leadership

  • Manage and coach a team of AI engineers, data scientists, and analysts.
  • Provide structured feedback, technical guidance, and career pathing for direct reports.
  • Uphold team norms and promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and growth.
  • Lead training and mentorship efforts to elevate AI/ML capabilities across the organization.

Responsibility: Internal Development & Practice Building

  • Drive the creation of reusable AI frameworks, code libraries, and best practices within the Google Cloud ecosystem.
  • Lead internal initiatives that improve engineering quality, scalability, or operational efficiency.
  • Help define technical standards, capabilities, and methods within the AI solutions practice.

$160,000 - $183,000 a year

The final compensation within this range will be determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of the candidate’s relevant professional experience, educational background, skill set, and overall alignment with the responsibilities and requirements of the role. Candidates who demonstrate significant experience, specialized expertise, or exceptional qualifications may be considered for compensation at the higher end of the range.
