About Trellis
We are a nonprofit 501©(3) corporation founded in 1979. Our goal is to help individuals achieve economic mobility and community prosperity through higher education and continuous learning. For over 45 years, we have worked with college students and higher education institutions.
We guarantee student loans for the Federal Family Education Loan Program. We give borrowers the tools and support they need to understand their repayment options and make sound financial decisions. We also offer nationally recognized research, specialized employee financial wellness programs, and workforce development partnerships.
In 2023, we launched Trellis Strategies, a brand dedicated to providing research and technical assistance to institutions, policymakers, and organizations focused on student success.
