A well respected Pennsylvania law firm serving businesses, organizations and individuals with a nationally recognized healthcare practice, is seeking a Associate Employment Attorney to join their team (hybrid/remote friendly, full time or part time, Pennsylvania admitted).
This is an excellent opportunity for an early career employment and litigation attorney to work hands on with client matters, develop strong relationships, and grow in a collegial, balanced environment.
What Youβll Do as the Associate Employment Attorney:
- Counsel clients on day to day employment issues including FMLA administration, ADA accommodations, background check compliance, employee handbooks, internal investigations, union contract issues, vaccination policies, non compete agreements, wage & hour matters, and investigations by DOL, OSHA and FLSA.
- Defend clients in employment related claims such as discrimination, FMLA/ADA claims, unemployment compensation matters and FLSA issues.
- Support other attorneys in litigation of civil and commercial cases, and in regulatory/administrative proceedings.
- Handle trial preparation tasks β drafting discovery requests, motions, briefs, preparing for hearings.
- Represent clients in depositions, hearings and trials.
- Draft, review and negotiate legal documents: contracts, agreements, pleadings, memoranda.
- Deliver seminars, webinars and written updates on evolving employment law issues.
Must Haves as the Associate Employment Attorney:
- J.D. from an ABA accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.
- One to five years of relevant experience in employment/labor or related litigation practice.
Nice to Haves as the Associate Employment Attorney:
- Experience advising employers in the healthcare or senior care sector.
- Exposure to union or labor contract matters.
- Comfort working in a hybrid/remote setting and strong self management skills.
- Experience delivering training or client education (webinars/seminars).
