We were founded in 1958 by Bill Putnam Sr. and refounded in 1999 by Bill Putnam Jr. We develop and manufacture audio recording technology.

Our products include classic analog hardware, Apollo audio interfaces, UAD Digital Signal Processing technology (including UAD audio plug-ins), UAFX Pedals, Microphones, and the LUNA Digital Audio Workstation. We combine vintage analog with modern digital technology for recording, mixing, and mastering audio.

Our headquarters are in Scotts Valley, California, with offices in Los Angeles, Colorado, and Amsterdam. We operate in the music industry and have 201-500 employees.

Our mission is to inspire sound for generations. We build products that excite music makers and advance audio recording.
