The Marketing team at UpGuard includes multiple marketing and design functions, including Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Marketing Ops, Content Marketing, SEO, Community, Design, and Video. UpGuard’s vision is to become a leader in the markets we play in (Cyber VRM, Attack Surface Management) by providing a best-in-class SaaS platform for organizations to manage their third-party risk and external attack surface. Our purpose as a Marketing team is to facilitate this goal by growing UpGuard with a repeatable and scalable marketing engine and a leading brand.

Where does this role fit in?

This Lifecycle Marketing Manager role is a strategic part of the Demand Generation organisation, sitting within the marketing team. This position is the primary driver of funnel efficiency and conversion velocity, acting as the bridge between lead generation and sales readiness.

What will you do?

  • Own Mid-Funnel Strategy: Design and manage all automated nurture streams, triggered campaigns, and sales handoff programs.
  • Build Smart Journeys: Develop and execute highly personalised buyer journeys based on firmographics, behaviour, and intent data to ensure timely and relevant engagement.
  • Develop Content Frameworks: Drive the mid-funnel messaging and content strategy, focusing on educational content, objection-handling, and re-engagement campaigns for stalled leads.
  • Collaborate with Sales & BDRs: Work with the Business Development team to align on messaging, timing, and lead readiness, ensuring seamless follow-up on hand-raisers and event attendees.
  • Measure & Optimise: Continuously track the performance of all lifecycle programs, focusing on key metrics like conversion rates and time-to-SQL, and iterate to improve funnel velocity.

What will you bring?

  • Lifecycle Marketing Expertise: 5+ years of experience in B2B lifecycle, email, or marketing roles, ideally within a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Funnel and Buyer Journey Knowledge: A deep understanding of buyer journeys, funnel stages, and how to align marketing programs with sales needs.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience in building and managing multi-step, personalised workflows and segmentation within marketing automation platforms, particularly HubSpot.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to work closely and effectively with sales development teams to align on strategy and execution.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: The desire and ability to continuously test, learn, and iterate programs based on performance metrics.

  • Experience with Intent Data: Familiarity with leveraging intent signals to create timely and highly relevant nurture programs.
  • Advanced Nurture Skills: A proven ability to design and implement sophisticated lifecycle scoring models or re-engagement strategies for dormant leads.
  • Full-Funnel Perspective: A strong understanding of how the full funnel works and how to optimise conversions from MQL to closed-won.
