About US Vision
We are a retailer of optical products and services, a subsidiary of Refac Optical Group. We operate licensed departments in about 250 retail locations, including JCPenney, Meijer, Boscov’s, AAFES military exchanges, and freestanding vision centers.
Our retail optical departments offer designer and private label prescription eyewear, contact lenses, sunglasses, and accessories. Many of our locations provide direct access to independent optometrists, who perform eye exams and prescribe eyewear and contact lenses.
Since 1991, we have been a national provider of managed vision care benefits. Our eye care heritage dates back over 100 years to Wall & Ochs, founded in 1885 in Philadelphia, PA. This company became U.S.Vision in the early 1970s.
We provide comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, Rx updates, and help with insurance claims. Lens technologies we offer include High-Definition lenses, blue light filtering, and photochromatic lenses. We have between 1,001 and 5,000 employees.
