VAWAA

Vacation With An Artist, or VAWAA, is an online marketplace where we connect people with master artists and craftspeople worldwide. We offer mini-apprenticeships and hands-on experiences customized to your skill level. These include learning Argentine Tango, natural dyeing, or working with street artists and bamboo bicycle makers.

Besides in-person programs, we also provide online learning courses. These feature virtual master classes, talks, demonstrations, and interactive sessions led by artists and makers around the world. We manage the entire process, from onboarding artists to handling guest bookings.

Our core goal at VAWAA is to engage with the world and connect different aspects of modern life. We believe creativity and travel can change attitudes, lives, and the world. Our mission is to help people explore and grow through education and hands-on experiences with master artists and makers. We see these artists as vital figures in shaping human culture.

VAWAA is a small company with 1-10 employees, offering remote work in the US and Canada. We foster an environment where team members have autonomy and can make significant contributions. Many roles are hybrid, combining experience design, operations, and editorial work with systems-building across various time zones and cultures. Our team operates in a dynamic global setting, using tools, including AI, to automate routine tasks, find and fix issues, and keep projects moving forward.
