Our Engineering Managers develop and grow high-performing teams that deliver significant value to our customers and enable our business to scale.

Our product integrates deeply with the services that present security risk to a company, pulls and analyzes data from those sources, and surfaces potential security threats to our customers in real time with guidance to remediate them.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for setting strategy, for leading your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably, for growing and developing talented engineers, and for cultivating a healthy, results-driven culture on your team.

Vanta’s business and team are growing quickly, and it’s essential that we lay the foundation for a successful organization. You’ll leverage your past experience and play a crucial role in laying the groundwork for a successful engineering organization, contributing to developing foundational processes that enable our entire team to scale — onboarding, interview loops, career frameworks, execution frameworks, and more.

Our London-based Privacy & Data Security organization is developing new product experiences to serve Vanta’s customers in the emerging data protection market. In this role you will partner with product management, design, and go-to-market to develop these products and bring them to a wider audience. You will also be responsible for supporting and expanding our engineering organization in Europe and fostering a collaborative culture and environment with other teams across the globe.

What you’ll do as a Senior Engineering Manager at Vanta:

  • Drive significant impact for our customers and business by leading teams to deliver results consistently and sustainably

  • Build a best-in-class engineering team. Coach, mentor and create an environment where your team can do their best work and deliver for the business.

  • Set direction and guide technical strategy, ensuring that your team is delivering long-term value aligned with Vanta’s business priorities

  • Work closely with Vanta’s customers and customer-facing teammates to build and ship high-value products and infrastructure

  • Play an integral role in laying the foundation for Vanta’s engineering culture

How to be successful in this role:

  • Have four or more years of professional experience in a full-time engineering manager role

  • Strong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality

  • Have participated in developing or driving engineering-wide initiatives (recruiting processes, career frameworks, etc) in a prior role

  • Have prior experience managing complex, long-term projects that touch multiple teams and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Effective communicator and story-teller. Able to influence cross functional stakeholders and adjacent teams

  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
