About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional senior accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be hard working, have an attention to detail, have a strong desire to take initiative and learn and can communicate well across all levels of a corporate environment.
What You’ll Do
- Work on close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations.
- Supporting and guiding business partners with the accounting and reporting implications of transactions while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and policies
- Serve as the liaison with external auditors for annual audits, ensuring timely audit request completion.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting records and reduce time to close.
- Lead accounting automation projects, focusing on scalable finance and reporting system design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Support manager with projects, research, and supplemental reporting needs.
What You Bring
- Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- BA/BBA/BS Degree from 4 year university
- CPA Certification
- 2+ years experience, with financial statement audit experience preferred.
- Knowledge of financial systems (i.e.Netsuite, Banking, Navan, ZIP, etc)
- Ability to focus, complete tasks accurately and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously
- Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week

Annual Pay Range
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)
Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).

$60,000—$75,000 USD
