Job Description

What’s it all about?

The Sales Development Executive (SE Cluster) is a critical, cross-functional role reporting to the Head of Business Development in Southern Europe cluster. The position will play a key supporting role within the Business Development team to help deliver business development initiatives across the region. This position offers exposure to strategic projects, client engagement, and cross-functional teamwork, providing an excellent foundation for career growth in payments and financial services.

What we expect of you, day to day:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of business development activities, liaising with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the team in preparing presentations, reports, and client proposals.
  • Maintain control and visibility over the deal pipeline and ensure the correct reflection of deal metrics in MSD and other internal sales management systems. Track and report progress, identify red flags, provide support, and escalate as necessary.
  • Support the preparation of RFP responses and client incentive proposals.
  • Help track project progress, maintain documentation, and follow up on action items.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Sales, Strategy and Commercial Operations) to build support across cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to the organization of meetings, workshops, and client events.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of all Visa products and services, and understand and quantify their impact on Visa economics.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, and ability to structure and analyze information

Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, additional European languages (e.g., Spanish, Italian etc.) are a plus.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and using AI tools

Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Prior internship or work experience in payments, financial services, or consulting is an advantage but not required.
