Job Description
The Digital Product Enablement team is seeking an outstanding Senior Product Manager candidate with the vision, passion and commitment to deliver on Visa’s overall digital and mobile enablement strategy in support of the Mobile Enablement Platform.
The Senior Product Manager position is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Director for Digital - Mobile Enablement Platform Commercialization who is responsible for product delivery, and client readiness and support.
The Senior Product Manager will be an important member of the team responsible for enabling digital solutions specifically focusing on Visa’s U.S. and Global issuers, group service providers, and third-party processor relationships. This position will be responsible for various types of projects, including program and release management, business analysis, and commercialization requirements associated with key product initiatives. This position involves working with cross-functional stakeholder teams to prioritize, define and drive quality deliverables.
This person will periodically serve as a liaison between the Technology, Project Management (PMO) and Product Management organizations within Visa for key product initiatives. They will manage, from inception through commercialization, assigned business programs.
This position will be responsible for end-to-end product release management communication, and product documentation for internal and external consumption, including but not limited to service descriptions, implementation guides, process flows, and other product-related deliverables as required.
This person will be required to develop and maintain detailed project plans, identify risks and issues, and work closely with their management and Technology counterparts to ensure on-time delivery with high quality, and accuracy for each assigned deliverable.
The ideal candidate must possess good critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational experience, with a desire to build product implementation, readiness and management skills. Additionally, some experience in project management and an understanding of software development life cycle will be ideal.
Role Responsibilities:
- Works on assignments of diverse scope where initiative and judgment are required to identify a correct course of action within the context of broad goals and long-term objectives. Work involves multiple domains within Visa.
- Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of assigned deliverables and managing tasks from ideation through commercialization for assigned programs or products.
- Represent Product Management with Technology organizations for assigned initiatives to ensure Product-defined requirements are met and delivered successfully.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are required. In particular, candidate will be expected to build proficiency in effectively communicating business and technical issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally as needed.
- Knowledge of developing detailed project plans and milestone dates is required.
- Ability to delegate project tasks when appropriate and monitor multiple sub-projects assignments.
- Must be able to understand, build subject matter expertise and represent detailed platform functionality associated with our digital solutions.
- Identify and manage dependencies across the Digital portfolio.
- Participates in the documentation and roll-out of new processes and improvement to existing processes, where needed.
- Responsible for various program management artifacts including, but not limited to, process flows, project plans, RACI documents, status reports and other project documents, as needed.
- Ensures deliverables are in alignment with corporate and department goals.
- Interact with clients as needed to review product features, roadmaps, marketing materials and other plans to promote growth and increase revenue.
- Ownership and responsibility for all assigned deliverables, including Release Notes and other Product-required documentation.
- Monitor, track and report on the successful launch of product deliverables associated with program and product management assignments.
- Responsible for the creation of assigned release documentation and communicating to key stakeholders accordingly.
- Some travel may be required.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. In particular, a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate business and technical issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally as needed.
- Skilled at influencing at all levels without direct authority to achieve necessary goals. Ability to ensure solutions meet Global and Domestic issuer, fintech, group service provider, and processor requirements.
- Must be able to understand, communicate, and represent detailed business requirements related to Digital products to ensure successful delivery.
- Ability to identify, own and drive collaboration and roll-out of new processes and improvement to existing processes.
- Support the creation of financial models and detailed forecasts, in support of revenue initiatives and new mobile product offerings.
- Responsible for various artifacts including, but not limited to, process flows, use cases, product documentation and various analysis documents to help in clarifying options and issues for the stakeholders and decision makers, as needed. Interact with clients as needed to review product features, roadmaps and other plans to promote growth and increase revenue.
- Represent Product with account executives, account managers, and clients to drive pilot programs, in-market tests and new product launches. Demonstrated experience in the area of successfully managing multiple and competing priorities. Exemplary interpersonal skills and professional presence to build credibility at executive levels within Visa and with clients.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style, with the ability to tailor delivery of complex topics to various audience levels.
- Experience in managing product development in both waterfall and agile environments.
- Strong contributor with experience in project/program management, digital/mobile, processing, payment, product management/product development disciplines with proven collaboration capabilities.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 143,700.00 to 230,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
