Job Description

Visa is seeking a visionary VP of Analytics to transform its global analytics and measurement strategy. This global leadership role has strategic impact across the enterprise translating complex data into clear guidance that measures impact while driving growth and competitive advantage. The VP will oversee the Global Marketing Measurement and Social & Digital Intelligence teams.

In this role, the VP will establish cutting-edge measurement frameworks – including advanced multi-touch attribution modeling and enhanced holistic marketing impact models to quantify marketing effectiveness across all channels and link brand strength metrics to business performance. As an AI-driven innovator, this leader will integrate technologies such as predictive modeling, & generative AI, real-time scenario planning, and personalization engines into the analytics function (building on Visa’s commitment to AI integration in analytics). These capabilities enable Visa to move beyond traditional analytics into proactive, forward-looking intelligence - for example, using AI for instant trend analysis and ‘on-the-fly’ optimization recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

The Vice President of Analytics will be entrusted with broad, high-impact responsibilities to ensure that the company’s marketing initiatives and strategic decisions are driven by robust data & insights. In this role, the VP will be expected to:

  • Visionary Leadership: Define and drive a forward-looking analytics strategy, leveraging AI and big data to create competitive advantages to enable predictive modeling and real time simulations, to accelerate decision making and inspire transformative change.

  • Strategic Thought Partner: Advise senior executives by connecting analytical insights with business goals, moving seamlessly between technical analysis and strategic direction.

  • Advance Frameworks, Performance Measurement and Optimization: Develop sophisticated techniques and global standard, KPIs and dashboard to accurately assess marketing performance and maximize returns.

  • AI Driven Analytics - Lead AI initiatives across the Insights and Analytics function. Integrate AI and machine learning within the analytics function to support predictive modeling and real-time ‘what-if’ simulations that anticipate outcomes as variables shift, advancing beyond traditional retrospective reporting generative AI to streamline insight generation and accelerate decision-making processes.

  • Data-Driven Customer Engagement: Analyze customer data to deliver actionable insights, enabling personalized marketing and enhancing customer experience and value.

  • Connected Social & Market Intelligence: Monitor consumer sentiment and competitor activity in real time, proactively addressing trends and measuring campaign impact for informed decisions.

  • Collaboration & Influence: Build strong cross-functional partnerships and drive alignment on analytics initiatives, securing organizational support for strategic initiatives.

  • Global Mindset: Value diverse perspectives, lead teams and projects across multiple countries to generate richer insights, influence without authority, coach and mentor teams, fostering continuous learning and attracting top analytics talent.

  • Innovation & Agility: Champion innovation and agile practices, encouraging experimentation and rapid iteration to scale successful solutions.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

•12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

•Strong proficiency in data and analytics technologies. This includes the ability to work with large datasets and use analytics tools/programming (SQL, Hadoop, Python/R, etc.) and statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS)

Preferred Qualifications

•15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)

•Deep knowledge of marketing and media analytics, including research methodologies and performance measurement. Demonstrated ability to use research and data to generate strategic insights that influence marketing decisions

•Excellent communication and storytelling skills are essential to translate complex data analyses into clear, compelling narratives and strategic recommendations for senior executives and non-technical stakeholders.

•Proven track record as a change agent, successfully leading digital or analytics transformations. The ideal candidate has implemented innovative methodologies or technologies—such as AI-driven analytics platforms or advanced attribution systems and excels at guiding organizations through change to embed a culture of data-driven decision-making.

•Hands-on experience with attribution modeling, econometrics, A/B testing, advanced analytics techniques (machine learning, predictive modeling, AI algorithms) and modern BI/visualization tools is required.

•Strong business acumen and a clear understanding of how analytics deliver measurable value across marketing, sales, and product strategy with a demonstrated ability to link analytics projects directly to financial results.

•Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, ideally across multiple geographies.

•A track record of thought leadership and industry impact in analytics or marketing science (e.g. speaking at industry forums, publishing insights) is a plus.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 258,100 to 451,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
