Job Description
We are looking for an intermediate, automation Test Engineer who is detail-oriented and puts quality in the forefront.
Working in an agile team in our Operational Excellence Stream, you’ll focus on modern frontend, backend and cloud environments working on a new financial product in a newly formed team. Previous exposure to Embedded Payments Integrations would be beneficial however no essential.
This role requires current experience with a range of open source and commercial test automation technologies including Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, and API testing tool such as Postman or similar.
About the role
- Ensure that testing deliverables are effective and measurable, for efficiency and accuracy
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of our System Test strategy
- Work closely with, and help guide, a dynamic and very collaborative team
- Test backend and front-end applications
- Ensure System Test Frameworks are fit for purpose, efficient, scalable, and maintainable and applicable to the CI/CD strategy
- Ensure automation code is treated as production code and meets re-usability and standardisation
- Set up performance testing scenarios and run to simulate loads for concurrent users
We have a lot of sophisticated software and need clever, fast-thinking problem solvers who enjoy making sense of complexity and achieving results in good time.
- Good understanding of black box testing, white box testing, and test automation
- Practical, current experience with a range of open source and commercial test automation technologies (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, and API testing tools such as Postman) covering modern front-end, back-end, and Cloud environments
- Proven development experience with programming languages and concepts (C#, Powershell script)
- Proven experience delivering complex automated test solutions to budget, time, and quality
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment across multiple environments
- Familiar with networks, performance, and secure software coding practices
