Job Description
As a Functional Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring that digital solutions are aligned with user needs. You will act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and a shared understanding of objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities to gather the information needed to produce documentation, as well as a solid understanding of business processes and the technologies involved.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements analysis: Analyze and document business objectives as well as functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with the Product Owner (PO) and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder consultation: Meet with key users to understand their goals and challenges.
- Requirements documentation: Create detailed functional and technical specifications, including use cases and acceptance criteria.
- Developer support: Clarify specifications, answer technical questions, and collaborate on necessary adjustments based on technical constraints.
- Testing and validation: Work closely with the quality assurance team to define functional tests and validate results.
- Post-Production support: Provide functional support after solution deployment and suggest continuous improvements based on user feedback analysis.
- Change management: Document and track changes to functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of business processes and technological challenges.
- Strong communication skills and ability to facilitate workshops.
- Ability to write clear functional and technical specifications.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Team player with a strong ability to deliver results in time-sensitive environments
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or Business Administration (MBA) is an asset.
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role, such as Functional Analyst, with proven experience in writing specifications.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
