Contract Details

  • 40 hrs/week
  • Contract through end of 2026
  • Hourly Rate: $60-70/hr (based on experience)
  • Start date - March 2026
  • This position is in Atlanta, GA. Hybrid work environment with collaboration days as needed.

Job Description

You will play a critical role in supporting the Digital Customer Experience (CDX) team as they tackle two major initiatives in 2026: Menu Transformation and Membership Program Evolution. Working alongside our Senior UX Researcher, you’ll focus on executing research studies, synthesizing findings, and helping validate solutions with customers.

This is an exciting time to join as the company embarks on transforming their menu database system from the ground up (enabling voice ordering, autonomous delivery, and expanded menu variety) and evolving their membership program to create more exclusivity and access for customers.

Your Role

You’ll primarily focus on the execution side of research - conducting user tests, summarizing results, and helping determine whether solutions are hitting the mark. This allows our senior researcher to focus on strategic discovery work around what the new menu structure should be and how to evolve the membership program for a 2027 relaunch.

Responsibilities

  • Execute user testing studies and usability tests across web and mobile platforms
  • Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights for designers and product teams
  • Conduct user research through various methods including interviews, surveys, and observational studies
  • Help validate design solutions by putting concepts in front of customers
  • Work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure research informs product decisions
  • Create research documentation including summaries, reports, and presentations
  • Support discovery efforts for menu transformation and membership program evolution
  • Champion user needs by sharing findings with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of UX research experience with hands-on execution
  • Proven ability to conduct and synthesize user testing independently
  • Experience working with product teams who may not always know exactly what they need from research

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional listening skills - ability to hear what stakeholders are saying and understand the real problem behind their requests
  • Strong at pulling out problems to be solved through research, even when working with inexperienced product managers
  • Comfortable working with minimal structure and figuring things out independently
  • Ability to turn vague directions into concrete research plans
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

Working Style:

  • Comfortable in environments without extensive process and structure
  • Self-directed and proactive
  • Able to work collaboratively across design, product, and engineering
  • Familiarity with agile environments

Additional Information

Current Team Context

  • You’ll work alongside our Senior UX Researcher Mike Carpenter and UX Researcher Paul Dobson
  • The team is focused on two major 2026 priorities: menu transformation (a 2-year rebuild) and membership program evolution
  • This role frees up senior researchers to focus on strategic discovery while you handle research execution

Key Success Factors

  • Ability to operate independently without extensive hand-holding
  • Comfort with ambiguity and figuring out the right approach
  • Strong synthesis skills - turning research data into clear insights
  • Collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional teams
  • Patience and skill in working with stakeholders who are still learning how to partner with researchers

Professional Growth Opportunity

  • Be part of major transformation initiatives that will impact millions of customers
  • Work on both menu innovation and loyalty program evolution
  • Collaborate with experienced researchers who can mentor and guide
  • Contribute to a company undergoing exciting changes with new leadership focused on digital innovation
