Job Description

You will be the strategic bridge between research and design, working closely with our UX Researcher to translate customer insights into product vision and direction. This role is critical as the company tackles two major 2026 initiatives: Menu Transformation and Membership Program Evolution.

As a UX Strategist, you’ll take research findings and turn them into strategic recommendations, product visions, and directional frameworks that guide the design team. You’ll be answering questions like: What does a “nutrition-forward digital menu experience” even mean? How should we approach evolving the membership program beyond earn-and-burn?

Your Role

You’ll work as a companion to the research team - they provide the data and insights, you transform that into strategic vision and direction. You’ll sit with research findings and develop approaches, frameworks, and recommendations that guide product development.

Responsibilities

  • Translate research insights into strategic product vision and direction
  • Develop frameworks and approaches for ambiguous problems (e.g., “nutrition-forward menu experience”)
  • Create strategic recommendations based on research data, market trends, and business goals
  • Work closely with UX researchers to understand customer needs and behaviors
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure strategic vision is translated into experiences
  • Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Define product direction for menu transformation and membership program evolution
  • Identify opportunities for innovation based on customer insights

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of UX strategy experience
  • Proven ability to translate research into actionable product vision
  • Experience developing strategic frameworks for digital products
  • Background in consumer-facing products, ideally mobile or loyalty programs

Essential Skills:

  • Strategic thinking - ability to synthesize research and data into clear direction
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent at taking ambiguous problems and defining what they could mean
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Experience developing product roadmaps and strategic recommendations

Working Style:

  • Comfortable operating without extensive structure or process
  • Self-directed and proactive in identifying strategic opportunities
  • Collaborative approach to working with research, design, product, and engineering
  • Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels

Additional Information

Current Team Context

  • You’ll work alongside an existing strategist, a Senior UX Researcher, and the UX design team
  • The team is focused on Menu Transformation (2-year rebuild) and Membership Program Evolution (2027 relaunch)
  • This is a high priority role - you’ll help define what these initiatives should actually be

Key Success Factors

  • Ability to take research data and create compelling strategic vision
  • Comfort with ambiguity - defining what undefined problems should become
  • Strong synthesis skills across research, market trends, and business goals
  • Excellent stakeholder management and presentation abilities
  • Balance of strategic thinking with practical implementation mindset

Professional Growth Opportunity

  • Define the strategic direction for major transformation initiatives
  • Work on both menu innovation and loyalty program evolution affecting millions of customers
  • Be part of exciting company transformation with focus on digital product development
  • Contribute to year-long promotional calendar and menu variety expansion
