About Withings
We were founded in 2008 to develop connected health devices and health monitoring solutions. We introduced the first smart scale in 2009 and have since expanded our product range to include hybrid watches, blood pressure monitors, sleep analyzers, and more. Our key products include the U-Scan, a toilet-embedded urine lab, and BeamO, a compact home health check-up device.
Our devices provide clinically validated, medical-grade measurements like pulse wave velocity, electrodermal activity, ECG, heart rate, and oximetry, allowing users to take measurements at home. The Withings App supports these devices, offering long-term health insights and programs.
Our dedicated division, Withings Health Solutions, based in Boston and Paris, provides health monitoring solutions to healthcare professionals for chronic disease prevention, remote monitoring, and clinical research. We operate in the Wellness and Fitness Services industries, focusing on health, connected health, technology, wearables, and smart devices.
In 2016, Nokia acquired us, but our founder, Éric Carreel, reacquired the company in 2018. We received Series B funding of €53 million in 2020 and acquired Impeto Medical and 8fit in 2022. We have received 21 CES Innovation Awards and 5 IF Design Awards.
