Job Description
As a People AI & Automation Manager, you will be the technological backbone of our People Team. You will bridge the gap between HR expertise and technical excellence. Your goal is to create a scalable infrastructure through intelligent systems, seamless interfaces, and the use of AI.
Your Tasks
You drive the use of AI within People & Org, experimenting with Agentic AI and LLM frameworks (e.g., Claude, Gemini) to automate manual bottlenecks – from initial sourcing to complex performance cycles.
You support the entire team (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Talent Partnering, Culture, and Operations) in translating conceptual ideas into high-performing technical workflows.
Your daily work will involve building and maintaining custom AI agents and sophisticated automated workflows using tools like n8n, Claude, Gemini, and various LLM frameworks to streamline processes over the whole People landscape (e.g. creation of materials for development plans, event planning, candidate sourcing and screening or internal FAQ responses).
Beyond just building, you will act as an enabler for the team, training your People & Org colleagues on prompt engineering and new tool adoption to ensure our AI transformation is ethical, unbiased, and deeply integrated into our existing ATS (Lever) and HRIS ecosystems.
Your Profile
You are a tech-savvy professional with a background in Operations, Process Management, or a comparable interface role. Experience in People/Recruiting is a “nice to have”, but your technical mindset is what counts.
You possess a strong background in designing and documenting complex workflows; you understand how to map a “messy” human process into a clean, logical sequence that can be automated without losing its soul.
You have a natural aptitude for structuring data; you understand the importance of data hygiene, how custom fields should relate to one another, and how to prepare information so that an LLM can actually make sense of it.
You are confident in exploring new tools and have a high affinity for coding or low-code automation. You have (initial) experience with Python, Google Scripts, or automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, n8n) and a deep curiosity about Agentic AI.
You don’t just want to follow a process; you want to improve the system of work itself.
You are an experimentalist at heart who is fluent in English and ideally intermediate in German (B2), allowing you to bridge the gap between technical execution and empathetic, human-centric people strategy.

About us
We are an established tech startup with major tech investors Sequoia Capital and Visionaries Club on our side. We are aiming at defining a new SaaS category and empower entrepreneurs and e-commerce vendors to automate their resource planning and focus on the things that matters most to them: their business.
We grow all over Europe, join us fully remote or in one of our hubs in Augsburg, Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich and Lohne (Oldenburg). You decide!
At Xentral, it doesn’t matter where you come from, what you believe in, or how you identify - what matters is the person you are and the skills you bring. We’re a remote-first company operating across Europe, so you can work from wherever you feel most comfortable. That also means we can’t offer relocation or visa sponsorship - but the good news is, relocation within Europe isn’t necessary to join our team.
What unites us at Xentral is not one location, but one mission: making business software simple, powerful, and accessible for everyone. We strive to create a workplace where everyone feels respected, supported, and empowered to do their best work.
Convince us with your personality and your skills – and together we’ll make great things happen.
We’re looking forward to meeting you!
