Business Development Representative

Role Overview: Pharos is seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Representative (BDR), with a focus on results, to join our marketing team. The BDR is a crucial part of our sales and marketing process, responsible for creating awareness of Pharos in our target market and generating interest in our industry-leading products and services. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn the foundations of SaaS enterprise sales and establish a rewarding career in the field.
We’re moving fast. Applications will be accepted through May 19th, and we’ll be reviewing and evaluating candidates on a rolling basis. Our interview day is scheduled for May 27th. Pay Range: Base of USD$55,000-USD$60,000 per year and a commission target of USD $20,000 per year.
Location: Candidates must reside in the Denver Colorado area. This position can be hybrid or remote for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop pipeline utilizing a defined methodology to educate, nurture and convert leads into qualified sales opportunities.
- Identify and engage prospects through various communication channels, including phone, email, social media, and targeted marketing campaigns leveraging a variety of tools, in creative approaches to break through the noise.
- Providing a best-in-class handoff, transition qualified leads to the appropriate account executive for further engagement.
- Achieve monthly SLA targets, including activity, meetings set for AEs, and pipeline generated.
- Utilize multiple communication channels to schedule appointments, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Update the Salesforce CRM database with accurate and relevant information to maintain a comprehensive activity history to track interactions and progress.
- Capture and share valuable business insights through meaningful interactions with prospects and gather critical data that contributes to the enhancement of our sales strategy.
- Be a brand ambassador to uphold the company’s reputation through professionalism and adherence to our core values across all client and community interactions.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, market insights as well as continuously acquire technical, competitive, and sales skills knowledge to remain agile and relevant in the ever-evolving business landscape.

Sales Mindset:

- Comfort learning new tools and platforms
Process & Tools:
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM
- Organized and detailed in tracking outreach and follow-ups
- Uses tools creatively to enhance outreach (video, automation, social selling)
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional experience in sales, customer service, or client-facing roles
- 1+ years experience with outbound calls preferred
- Comfortable using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
