Job description

We’re super into the work we do and the community we’ve built and think you might be, too.

Q-Centrix is the largest exclusive provider of clinical data management solutions to acute care hospitals. A market disruptor and innovator, Q-Centrix believes that there is nothing more valuable than clinical data as it is critical in delivering safe, consistent, quality healthcare for all. Bringing together deep expertise across providers, clinical knowledge, data and software, Q-Centrix provides an integrated approach that can redefine and streamline the data management and real-world application process for the healthcare industry, thereby enabling increased efficiency and exciting new solution opportunities.

Providing the industry’s first Enterprise Clinical Data Management (eCDM™) platform, Q-Centrix utilizes its market-leading software, the largest and broadest team of clinical data experts, a modern-stack software and reporting data structure, and best practices from its 1,200+ hospital partners to securely extract, curate, structure, and enhance clinical data at the highest quality level. The resulting high quality structured clinical data is then utilized to support reporting demands, drive improved care delivery, meet financial and operational needs, enable population health workflows and power broad research use cases. Its solutions cover a breadth of clinical segments, including cardiovascular, oncology, infection prevention, trauma and real-world data applications. Q-Centrix’s platform enables its partners to access valuable clinical information that may otherwise be trapped across multiple workflow systems and clinical information platforms. Q-Centrix is positioned for continued growth as they integrate new capabilities and business lines.

Backed by a leading global private equity growth firm, TPG, Q-Centrix will continue to invest heavily in technology (data, software, automation), people, and processes that can accelerate access to high quality structured clinical data at scale and facilitate greater real world data applications.

Job Summary: As a Clinical Education Manager (CEM) for the Oncology service line at Q-Centrix, you will serve as the essential link between Oncology data experts and the clinical education they need to excel. This role requires deep familiarity with the Commission on Cancer (CoC) standards and the accreditation lifecycle, including experience participating in or managing cancer committees, accreditation preparation, and survey readiness. In addition to delivering impactful internal training and continuing education, this role is uniquely positioned to expand Q-Centrix’s influence externally through professional development, thought leadership, and strategic partnerships.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CoC standards and Oncology registry abstraction, applying deep understanding of how regulatory standards influence abstraction workflows and outcomes.
  • Lead Oncology-specific Clinical Governance Councils (CGCs) to support collaborative clinical decision-making and elevate abstraction accuracy.
  • Design and deliver continuing education (CE) content to meet role-specific requirements, with attention to evolving standards and abstraction quality trends, for internal and external use.
  • Develop and present oncology-related educational content at national and state/regional conferences and meetings to promote Q-Centrix’s brand and subject matter leadership.
  • Monitor changes in Oncology registry specifications and lead proactive education efforts—including the annual version change—by developing and delivering impactful training to ensure alignment, compliance, and consistent understanding of updated standards across internal (and potentially external) audiences.
  • Lead the development of a robust onboarding and continuing education curriculum for Senior Clinical Data Specialist (SCDS) hires to promote high-performance and retention.
  • Support Oncology student practicum opportunities, building and maintaining partnerships with schools to grow the future talent pipeline.
  • Create and deliver an exam support and preparation program to help team members prepare for the Oncology Data Specialist–Certified (ODS-C) exam.
  • Support strategic engagement and partnerships with ODS-C school programs to enhance talent development and institutional relationships.
  • Develop and maintain educational content, including manuals, job aids, e-learning, multimedia, and live instruction—especially as related to Oncology abstraction and registry education.
  • Provide registry education to managers, helping them understand the Oncology registry landscape and abstraction process.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CoC standards and program management, along with state-specific requirements, creating and providing education and resources to support our team members’ expertise in delivering services to our hospital partners.
  • Collaborate with the Q-Centrix Institute (QCI), our world-class corporate institute for training newly certified or aspiring ODS-Cs, to develop/enhance training materials.
  • As a growth organization, roles and responsibilities often evolve and adapt over time. As such, this job description may not comprehensively account for future activities, responsibilities, and priorities—these may evolve right along with us!

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Education/Experience: Associate’s degree required, along with a minimum of 3 years of Oncology data abstraction experience in a healthcare clinical or cancer registry setting.
