The Compliance Marketing Associate is a mid-level role within the Group’s Compliance function responsible for the end-to-end review and management of financial promotions across multiple regulated jurisdictions, including the UK (FCA), Cyprus (CySEC), Australia (ASIC), UAE (SCA), and the Bahamas (SCB).
The role ensures that all public-facing marketing materials meet local regulatory standards while also enabling commercial goals through clear and compliant communications. The Associate will review digital content across web, social, email, mobile, podcast, and affiliate channels and provide guidance to regional marketing and business teams. This role supports proactive horizon scanning and plays a critical role in regional compliance alignment efforts across the Capital.com Group.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in regulatory frameworks governing financial promotions and digital advertising, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multilingual, multi-entity environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct end-to-end reviews of financial promotions to ensure compliance with local regulations (e.g., FCA COBS, ASIC RG234, CySEC circulars, SCA, SCB).
- Assess risk warnings, disclosures, targeting criteria, and language use across channels.
- Liaise with global marketing teams to support compliant campaign planning.
- Maintain a structured archive of approvals, checklists, and comments.
- Monitor ongoing compliance with published content (e.g., banners, app store content).
- Track and incorporate regulatory updates into marketing checklists and guidance.
- Provide internal training or guidance on marketing dos and don’ts.
- Escalate high-risk issues or unclear guidance areas to senior Compliance officers.
- Support the development and iteration of global and regional marketing compliance policies.
- Assist with remediation projects, audits, and thematic reviews as required.
- Champion a risk-based approach to campaign reviews and prioritisation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Compliance, Legal, or Marketing Approvals role in a regulated financial firm.
- Familiarity with regulatory marketing rules from at least two of: FCA, CySEC, ASIC, SCA, SCB.
- Experience reviewing and approving multi-channel content (web, app, affiliate, social, etc.).
- Jira or similar workflow tool experience.
- Strong spreadsheet/documentation management (Excel or Google Sheets).
- Excellent written English.
- Experience in the CFD/Spread Bet industry - nice to have.
- Fluent in English and either Arabic, Spanish or Mandarin is very nice to have.
