With a commitment to operational excellence and financial integrity, we are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations.
Position Overview: The Controller will oversee the financial health of the organization by managing accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes. This hands-on role requires a proactive leader with extensive experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the accounting team, including accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to support strategic decision-making.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and financial audits.
Implement best practices to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with operational leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.
Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit retail industry is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency in financial management systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
