The CPA Accountant, will participate in a wide range of operational tasks, including reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reporting and the ATO Compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reconcile bank accounts monthly
Manage Various Park & Village Budgets
Accounts Payables
Accounts Receivables
Process weekly payroll
BAS lodgment for all entities
Superannuation lodgment
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and monthly management reports
Monitor cash flow
Manage employee reimbursements
Month-end and year-end closing, including all aspects of the accounting process (journal entries and accruals).
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Maintain fixed asset registers
Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and support external audits
Maintain appropriate documentation for tax, audit, and statutory purposes
Provide financial insights and reporting to support decision-making
Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and enhance efficiency
Support the CEO in ad hoc analysis and projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CA/CPA accredited professional
3 years + experience in similar role
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Xero
Payroll Experience - advantageous
Ability to manage a small team
Must have Australian Experience
